Thai food festival (part 1)
November 28, 2009Last week there was a Thai food festival. It was on the same place with Egypt festival. This festival is much more interesting. Everything was about food… There were also some Thai culture such as dancing, fighting, music, and cooking demo. I walked around the place and the most of the people spoke Thai language. They also offered me something with that language, I didn’t understand and I just smiled

This is the stage where they showed Thai traditional dance, cooking demonstration, and singing.

Compare those chefs.
Look at the chef in black clothes. Funky isn’t he? lol.. I was surprised when I saw his style. Wow… Very different from his friend. When he was cooking, he also shouted to people to try and buy from their shop with thai language. They were selling uncooked pad thai and some thai sauces. The funky chef cooked pad thai and the other cooked seafood-balls. They cooked pad thai and seafood-balls as tester.

Pad thai and seafood-balls.
This picture is the pad thai that funky chef cooked and some seafood-balls. The thai sauces they were selling including seafood sauce (the green one) along with sweet and spicy sauce. I tasted those and those were nice, especially the seafood sauce. It was a tasty and spicy dipping sauce. I’d like to eat that again.

black pepper noodle
I don’t know what that noodle was. But it tasted like vermicelli and it was cooked with thai black pepper sauce by the funky chef. It had a good smell and it was nice.

This is a shop that sold thai rice. They cooked fried rice as the tester and it tasted good.

cooking demonstration
This is a cooking demonstration by Thai Tha Pho Restaurant. She cooked a Fried Prawn in Choo Chee Curry. She used a fresh prawn which imported from Thailand. I tasted the food and it was very nice. The prawn tasted fresh with tasty and spicy curry sauce. Below is the picture, but the picture is not good.
